How old should I be to practice Karate?

Karate is perfect for all ages! We separate our classes based on age and skill level. Our student body ranges from 4 years old to 84 years young!

Can women benefit from Karate?

Absolutely! The women who train at our school find themselves stronger, healthier, and more capable to defend themselves.

What if I am not coordinated enough to do Karate?

Then you have come to the right place! Karate is an excellent tool to improve your balance and coordination.

Will I have to work out with Black Belts right away?

New students begin their training in private lessons with a qualified instructor. When the instructor feels the students is ready, the student will then move into group beginner classes that are appropriate for his or her level of training.

Is there a risk of injury with Karate?

As with any sport or physical activity, there is a risk of injury. However, safety is our top priority and injuries are rare with proper training and instruction. Many of our students have found that because of the increased fitness and flexibility that comes with karate training that they are less likely to injure themselves in their day to day lives.
