Covid-19 Virus Update

To our dojo family,

Thank you for the support you have shown over the past several weeks. It is not surprising that all of you have adapted so quickly to this new environment that we are all now a part of. I believe this is a true testament to the Dojo way of life and I could not be more proud of you all.

During this past week, Marcus, Bill, Stephanie, Sara and I have been working on the method of how we are going to come back to physical classes at the dojo. I know this is something that everyone is anxious for!

Obviously, we are waiting on the governor and other leaders for information as to when we will be allowed to open for physical classes, but I wanted to take a few minutes to highlight the approach we are going to take.

First of all, let me assure everyone that the virtual training will continue for the foreseeable future. Believe it or not, my Sensei George Mattson, was one of the pioneers of virtual training and has been teaching people virtually across the globe for over thirty years. We all think that this will be a valuable addition to our training for years to come.

Once it is deemed safe for us to return to the physical dojo, our plan is to do so with individual lessons scheduled privately. This will be followed up by group lessons at the appropriate time. Rest assured, we will keep our virtual and physical lessons running congruently to make this transition as easy as possible for everyone.

Thank you, once again, for your commitment to your training and support of the dojo. I look forward to seeing you all real soon.

Sincerely,

Buzz Durkin
