Kyu Test
We will be hosting a Kyu Test on Wednesday (March 11th) and Thursday (March 12th) for all our junior and adult candidates.
Wednesday @ 6:00pm: Jr. Intermediates
Wednesday @ 7:00pm: Adults
Thursday @ 4:30pm: Jr. Beginners
We will be streaming this event virtually and will have plenty of room at the Dojo for parents and loved ones to watch the Kyu testing. Also, feel free to take any pictures and videos. We will also be making a video of the test that will be sent via email to all the candidates!
Dojo Closed - Black Belt Testing Preview
Shodan, Nidan, and Sandan Candidates
Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 Junior Candidates
During the Performance Preview, candidates will be standing in front of four to five master ranking judges with over a hundred years of combined experience! This portion of the Black Belt Testing will be a CLOSED DOOR event. We have found that test candidates perform their best without the added pressure that an audience of family members, spouses, and friends create. The Preview will be recorded and made available to each candidate.
The Preview will be the first time students get to demonstrate their required testing curriculum.

Dojo Closed for 2025 Uechi Convention
The 2024 Annual Uechi Convention is a fantastic event which will include training for adult and junior students, master’s testing, our black belt ceremony, and a formal banquet.
If you are eager to gain a deeper understanding of your Uechiryu Karate, then this event is for you!
Our training event is open to all students, juniors and adults alike, of Uechiryu Karate. At Uechi-Con we will be hosting training seminars with elite Uechi instructors as well as those with expertise in other martial art styles such as Jiu Jitsu, Kali, Silat and others. Our presenters are selected for their exceptional knowledge and fantastic teaching ability.
We will also be holding seminars for instructors and school owners who wish to further their teaching skills. Presenters for our instructor training are high level teachers and school owners with decades years of teaching experience.
In addition to all this wonderful training, we will also celebrate this year’s class of black belt graduates from the Uechiryu Butokukai. Friends and family are encouraged to join in support of their loved ones as they receive their black belts and diplomas.
Fellow students and family members will also be able to observe this year’s group of Uechiryu Butokukai master candidates as they test for their new ranks and titles. The master’s test is a great opportunity to witness high level karate and to learn from students with decades of experience.
